Woman in crisis
Sarah sighed as she entered the kitchen. She had almost (but not quite) forgotten that she still had the washing up to do. Ella’s music practise had distracted her for so long. Her slippers were too big for her now and the heels hardly left the ground as she shuffled around the kitchen in her enormous pull-ons. She picked at the dried egg on her cardigan sleeve. She took the rag drying on the tap and began to wipe the crumbs from the surfaces, moving the cloth around the clutter but under the wine bottle. It felt deliciously full; only half a glass gone. She sniffed the cork and her shoulders relaxed.
